How Long Do Rove Miles Take to Post?

We get it, you’ve just joined Rove and completed your very first transaction—and now you’re wondering when you’re going to get your Rove Miles. Depending on what you’ve been doing, the amount of time it’ll take for your Rove Miles to post is going to vary.
Let’s break down all the posting times, whether you’ve booked a hotel stay or completed a shopping transaction.
Rove Miles Posting Times For Hotels
Booking hotels with Rove can be an excellent deal, especially if you’re earning lots of miles. The posting time for Rove Miles earned from hotel bookings will be based on the type of stay you’re booking.
Rove Rates
We have two different rate types available on Rove. The first is our preferred Rove Rate, which tends to offer our highest mileage earnings.

You have two choices when it comes to Rove Rates and mileage posting times.
Rove Rate bookings with free cancellation will have miles that post the day after checkout.
However, you can also find non-refundable Rove Rate bookings. These allow you to earn your miles immediately.
And even if you find a hotel that only features free cancellation, you can choose during checkout to make it non-refundable. This way you’ll still get your miles immediately.
Loyalty Eligible
Our Loyalty Eligible bookings allow you to earn Rove Miles in addition to hotel points, elite status benefits, and elite night credits. They’re the perfect way to stack the rewards that you accrue.

When you book a Loyalty Eligible hotel with Rove, the hotel is the one that is actually charging you. This is true whether you’re booking a non-refundable rate or one with free cancellation.
Because of this, the time it takes to receive your Rove Miles is longer; we have to wait until the hotel has confirmed your checkout in order to add the miles to your account. This takes upwards of eight weeks after your stay has been completed.

Rove Miles Posting Times For Flights
Rove allows you to earn and redeem Rove Miles on flights. When booking, you’ll earn between one to 10 Rove Miles per $1 spent on your flight.

Miles earned from flights will post after your flight has been completed.
Rove Miles Posting Times For Shopping
Have you done some shopping through Rove? We have both an online shopping portal and a Chrome Extension that, together, allow you to earn Rove Miles at more than 13,000 stores.

The amount of time it takes for your Rove Shopping purchases to post will vary. If you’ve just completed a shopping trip, keep an eye out for a confirmation email.
Oftentimes you’ll receive this immediately, but it can take up to 10 days for the email to arrive.
The timeline for miles posting will also vary based on which merchant you’ve shopped at. Those that have a high risk of fraud will take a little bit longer to post—this comes from the terms of the merchant, not Rove.
All told, the time it takes for your Rove Miles to post and be ready for use will be between 60 to 100 days after you’ve completed your shopping trip.
The Bottom Line
Rove Miles don’t post on a one-size-fits-all timeline. Some activities—like non-refundable hotel bookings—earn miles almost instantly, while others require a bit more patience.
If your miles haven’t shown up right away, don’t worry. These posting processing times are expected, and your rewards are still on the way.
